Meet the Artist
My name is Kristen, and I'm a Santa Barbara artist inspired by the remarkable landscapes and native plants of California's Channel Islands.
Every painting begins in the field—hiking island trails, observing native plants, sketching, photographing, and learning about these extraordinary ecosystems. Back in the studio, those experiences become acrylic paintings that celebrate the beauty, resilience, and biodiversity of the islands.
Whether you're a fellow hiker, native plant enthusiast, conservationist, or simply someone who finds peace in California's wild places, I hope these paintings help you reconnect with landscapes worth protecting.
I welcome commissions, and beginning later this summer, my original acrylics, my field sketchbook watercolors, and my limited-edition signed archival prints will be available for purchase.
I'm proud to donate 15% of every original artwork and print sale to Channel Islands Restoration, supporting their ongoing work to restore and protect these extraordinary island ecosystems.
Debut Collection — September 2026
My first collection of original paintings celebrating the native plants and landscapes of the Channel Islands will debut this September as I'm honored to serve as a Featured Artist at Gallery 113 in downtown Santa Barbara.
